Day 86 Of Writing: Changing Priorities

                                                 Everyday is a brand new day, everyday is a journey.

I seek Thy aid, I ask direction,
Teach me to do what pleaseth Thee;
I can bear toil, endure affliction,
Only Thy leadings let me see.
ANON

Sometimes, just sometimes, things go awry and we need to change our focus. This is why setting priorities and goals for the year is so important. This way when things don't go according to plan, we know what is vital to us as a family or not.

This is where we are at right now. Our goals to be financially free by the end of this year may not happen. Let's not become saddened that we have failed. On the contrary, we have paid off a major bill in the first half of the year. That is a major, major accomplishment. Just by that alone, we are ahead of the game.

Still, that might be it for the year. Other things have cropped up which are more important. For one thing, getting all my papers in order take all precedence. Secondly. our car needs some work and we need a vehicle to get around. Thirdly, Emily needs her license and then a car. Who knows what else may happen and we will need to dip into the savings.

So for now, these three things have replaced our earlier goals until further notice. That is life and there are times where we need to make adjustments at little notice. This is not a setback, it's reality and the life we lead.

Have a blessed day everyone.
