Everyday is a brand new day, everyday is a journey.
Whatever God does is well!
In patience let us wait;
He doth Himself our burdens bear,
He doth for us take care,
And He, our God, knows all our weary days.
Come, give Him praise.

It's that time of the year where we see many advertisements for Cancer Walks. I, myself, will be doing one in October for Making Strides along with my fellow co-workers. My last walk was for Global Water back in 2016. Quite awhile ago. I don't mind doing walks or any kind of fundraisers as long as they are easily accessible. Majority of the Walks are usually located in downtown areas of the city. Not easily to get to, especially when it comes to finding parking. Or the fee for registering is too expensive. Plus, they begin really early in the morning like 7 a.m. and if the distance is too great, it might be too much trouble.
The other factor happens to be what are they really for? You may be thinking that I am crazy, but this is truly a good question. Many of us who are survivors ask this question when faced with a Cancer Fundraiser. To us, it really does matter. There are two types of Fundraisers: One for Awareness and one for Research.
Many people out there never really noticed the difference. They all assume it is for Research, but that is not true. I mean, they do say in the Fundraiser whether it is for Awareness or not. People just don't pay attention or they think it is the same thing. It's not.
For majority of the survivors, they feel Research is far more important. Awareness? Well, not to make light of it, but we think that people are aware of cancer. Unfortunately, everyone knows someone going through cancer. Awareness is pretty well covered. At least, in our eyes.
So I will walking on October 19, 2019 fro Making Strides. If anyone is interested in making a donation, I will leave a link below.
Have a blessed day everyone.
