To the peasant that delves the soil,
Who knows half the pleasures the seasons bring
If he had not his share of toil.
--Barry Cornwall.
I lounged in bed watching YouTube.
Yes, I did all of that without shame. The snow fell outside, covering white everything it touched. It was nowhere near a blizzard or a heavy snowfall, but it was more than what we have received in a long time. I was happy. I just wished I had a view to look out at, but that's another post for another day.
I expected to see all the children frolicking in the snow, building a fort or a snowman. That's what mine did when they were small. Not here, only one ventured out for like twenty minutes. Where were all these kids? Probably playing video games inside. Children nowadays don't spend time outside at all. To them, outside is more like going from the car to another building. I'm sorry, but it's true. Such a shame not to enjoy that snow.
I had a pretty good day, feeling content and satisfied. I didn't do much, but I'm rested. Sometimes, it's okay to do just that.
Have a Blessed day everyone.
